Kinetik I.T.’s founder and company president, Josette van Stiphout, felt that although the technology community had become very familiar with Mach 2 Systems’ name and outstanding reputation for software development and staffing, it was time to change the company’s identity to reflect the mission and vision for the company. Ms. van Stiphout states “We have been through many inspiring changes as a company over the past years. However, the dynamic shifts in the software, technology and e-commerce industry has caused us to evaluate where we want to be ten years from now. We are seeing many exciting changes in our industry that will help businesses of all sizes become more successful through utilizing technology. We wanted a name that helped to convey that by putting people, ideas and technology into motion, we are supporting the future success of Arizona businesses.”

TechTest is available for Microsoft Access, Visual C++, Visual Basic and Windows SDK. Scheduled for shipping in mid-July these unique software, skills-testing products help analyze a programming candidate’s expertise prior to the lengthy interview process. Programming Standards Not The Standard
PHOENIX, Ariz. - May 23, 1994 - Mach 2 Systems, Inc. - The Windows Technology Group, today announced the publication of Programming Standards, Guidelines and Techniques for Microsoft Windows Software Development which are available for Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Windows SDK. Scheduled for shipping in mid-June, these unique documents contain an exhaustive collection of procedures for naming conventions, code modularization, program flow and control; program documentation, coding style, portability, performance methods and more. Standards, guidelines and techniques advocate the writing of quality code that is maintainable by other software developers -- not just the initiator of the code. The use of standards and guidelines are not the norm for the software industry. “Standards will set quality programming apart from code hacking.” said Josette van Stiphout, President of Mach 2 Systems, Inc. “Too many times we’ve encountered code that needed to be rewritten because it was not maintainable, running up the cost of a project by 100%. In general, maintenance covers about 65% of the cost of a software development project and without maintainable code this can easily run as high as 110%. Our goal is to promote coding techniques to write efficient, solid and maintainable code; to have all software developers playing according to the same rules. That’s why we use and promote programming standards, guidelines and coding techniques.”
