What is an MVP?

A Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) is a person who exhibits exceptional community leadership in their given field. They are committed to sharing their passion and knowledge to help others get the most out of Microsoft technologies

For the past two decades, Microsoft has recognized these exceptional people though the MVP award. Currently, there are less than 3,000 recognized MVPs in the world. Our very own Tom van Stiphout is one of less than 60 MVPs who are experts in Access.

MVP, Tom van Stiphout

Tom van Stiphout

Tom is our Kinetik I.T. Software Development Manager, overseeing a talented team of developers.

He came to the United States in 1991 after receiving a degree from Amsterdam University. Overtime, he developed a passion for database programming, starting with Microsoft Access from version 1.0, and Microsoft SQL Server from version 4.5.

During the last several years Tom added .NET programming to his repertoire, and he is particularly interested in hybrid applications that combine the best of what various platforms have to offer.

Tom has been a frequent contributor to the Access newsgroups for many years, and was awarded the title of Access MVP. View Tom's full MVP Page.
